Have you tried to meditate over and over again and you did not seem to do it right?
Or it did not work for you? Or it did not meet your expectations? Do you think meditation is overrated?
Did you think that by meditating every day you'll get to have all the money and clients you dreamed of?
In the last few years, the habit of meditating has become the go-to strategy that can help entrepreneurs achieve their wildest dreams. And although it is true, it does not mean it’s the only way.
I started to meditate around 13 years ago. I pushed myself to learn how to do it and to do it daily. After one week I stopped. I just could not stop my thoughts.
As a perfectionist, I could not deal with failing at it every single day.
A year later I started guided meditation. It seemed easier and I was better at it. But again, I could not do it constantly.
I knew there was a problem with me. All these amazing gurus were meditating daily and wore talking about its benefits and here I was, wishing to have what they have but not meditating. In my mind, there was a new limiting belief formed.
If any of these hit home for you or if you tried meditating and you did not succeed at it and it made you feel bad about yourself, you are not alone.
Ask yourself: “what is one habit that I can do often enough, that is easy for me to do?”
It can be coloring, singing, going for a walk, going for a run, journaling, visualizing, tapping...
It’s better to start with something that is EASY for you to do and do that often, than to try and do something that is hard. If you can't keep it going, it won't give you the results you expect.
I do have a morning ritual and it differs from day to day, but I always seem to do what I love doing – which is journaling, writing down my dreams and reading. Some days I go for a walk too, other days I do some tapping, or I visualize my ideal day.
Instead of being super controlling and push myself to do 6 habits, including meditation, I do the ones that come easy to me and then, if I have time and if I feel inspired to – I go the extra mile.
The maximum time I spend each day on my habits is one hour and the minimum is 10-15 min.
It helps me manifest money and clients because I am more aligned each and every day.
Mindfullness is great and has spectacular benefits, but not everyone can do it or should do it.
Hence why meditation is so overrated these days.
A few years ago, I discovered hypnosis and, for me, it's everything I dreamed it would be. It calms me down, it fills me with confidence in myself and my business, and it's super easy to do.
